Appropriate Behaviour (2014)

Shirin is struggling to become an ideal Persian daughter, politically correct bisexual and hip young Brooklyn-ite but fails miserably in her attempt at all identities. Being without a cliché to hold onto can be a lonely experience.

Tiresia (2003)

Tiresia is at the same time woman and man, according to Greek Mythology. Here, Tiresia is a Brazilian transexual living with her brother in the outskirts of Paris. This fascinating psychological thriller by French director Bertrand Bonello was nomintaed for the Palme d’Or at the 2003 Cannes Film Festival.

Head On (1998)

A 19 year old Greek Australian youth struggles with his sexual identity and has one clumsy heterosexual and several homosexual encounters. Stars the 90’s Aussie Heartthrob from the Heartbreak Kid, Alex Dimitriades.

Geography Club (2013)

At Goodkind High School, a group of students with varying sexual orientations form an after-school club as a discreet way to share their feelings and experiences. Pitch Perfect’s Cameron Deane Stewart plays Russell, who is secretly mooning after the school footy captain Kevin (Justin Deeley of the 90210 reboot).

Set on the Peruvian seaside; a married fisherman who is expecting his first child with his wife, struggles to mourn the death of his secret male lover within his town’s rigid traditions.
